In summer 2006, Delta became be the world's leading carrier across the Atlantic as it launched flights to 11 new European destinations from its Atlanta and New York-JFK hubs, which include new flights from Edinburgh, Scotland to Atlanta and Manchester, England to New York (JFK). On November 15, 2006 Delta also began flying from London Gatwick to New York JFK...


1. FROM EDINBURGH YEAR-ROUND DAILY FLIGHTS TO ATLANTA…

Delta flies daily non-stop from Edinburgh to its global hub in Atlanta. From here, Delta offers connections from its hubs to over 180 cities in the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean.


2. FROM LONDON GATWICK TO THE USA…

Delta currently operates three daily non-stop flights from London Gatwick to its global hub at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. In addition to this, Delta also offers a daily non-stop flight to Cincinnati. Once in the U.S.A, Delta offers quick and hassle-free connections from its hubs to more than 195 US cities and beyond. All flights feature Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite service which offers enhanced comfort, service and personal space with its 2x2x2 seating arrangement, generous BusinessElite seats offering 60 inches (152 cm) of pitch, 21 inches (53 cm) width and 160 degrees recline as well as its unique LGE performance-enhancing meals.


On 15th November, 2006 Delta began flying between London Gatwick and New York, making Delta the first major U.S. airline to enter the New York-London market since 1991.All of Delta’s new service between London and New York will be operated with the 214-passenger Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite service.


Customers flying BusinessElite to and from London will enjoy Delta’s recently upgraded business class cabins and service, including all-leather sleeper seats with 60 inches of legroom; innovative food offerings designed by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein; award-winning, original wine selections; and on select aircraft, on-demand personal in-seat entertainment boasting more than 20 first-run and popular classic movies, a variety of TV programs, a broad range of music, and a suite of 12 video games. Economy class customers also will enjoy recent improvements on Delta, including new all-leather economy seats, enhanced food offerings, personal amenity kits and a complimentary cocktail with each meal.


As JFK’s leading airline, Delta operates non-stop service to more U.S. and international destinations than any other carrier. In total, Delta offer customers 167 peak day flights to 70 worldwide destinations, including non-stop service to 31 international destinations. Additionally, on Dec. 11, Delta will begin the first non-stop service offered by any major U.S. carrier between New York and Africa with four-times weekly service to Accra, Ghana.


3. FROM MANCHESTER YEAR-ROUND DAILY FLIGHTS TO ATLANTA & NEW YORK (JFK)…

Delta flies daily non-stop from Manchester to its global hub in Atlanta and New York (JFK). From here, the airline offers quick and hassle-free connections to more than 155 US cities.


BUSINESSELITE BENEFITS AT GATWICK AND MANCHESTER …

Delta has dedicated check-in desks for BusinessElite passengers. Delta also offers BusinessElite passengers the opportunity to relax or catch up on their business in the Delta Crown Room Lounge at Gatwick and in the Executive Lounge at Manchester.


AN ARRIVALS LOUNGE AT GATWICK AIRPORT…

Delta provides a dedicated arrivals lounge for all inbound international BusinessElite passengers and Platinum Medallion SkyMiles Members. The lounge is located on the 1st floor of Le Meridian Hotel and is open daily between the hours of 0600 to 1330.

Delta operates a daily service from Dublin and Shannon to Atlanta. Once in the US, Delta offers quick and hassle-free connections from its hubs to over 180 cities in the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean.


Delta also introduced a new service from Dublin and Shannon to New York (JFK) in May 2006.


All flights feature Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite service, which offers enhanced comfort, service and personal space with its 2x2x2 seating arrangement, generous 60-inch seat pitch and 160 degrees recline as well as its unique performance-enhancing meals.


PRE-IMMIGRATION CLEARANCE…

Delta is pleased to be able to offer Pre- Immigration clearance at Dublin and Shannon Airports. This enhanced facility saves time upon arrival in the United States and ensures an even smoother connection to onward destinations.
