No fewer than 578 of the UK travel sector’s brightest and best converged on Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel, Thursday evening (06 November), for the 16th Annual SPAA Travel Awards. At the event, the excellence of 140 of the world’s best travel companies was acknowledged and applauded – with 28 Award Winners brought to the stage to receive the recognition of the assembled guests.

The evening – always one of the most popular on the UK travel calendar – proved to be as lively and competitive; lavish and entertaining as always, and rounded off by music and dancing, well into Friday morning. Travel Weekly, Amadeus and BAA Scotland once again sponsored the event, which was organised and produced by SPAA Council Member Joyce Milne and her Annual Travel Awards Committee.

Television and radio personality Bryan Burnett – a ten year veteran of Scottish Television’s ‘Scottish Passport’ travel programme, and latterly a popular BBC Radio Scotland presenter – hosted the Awards Presentations, bringing a real show business flavour to the evening.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement that TFc Travel Management, our Corporate Travel brand, had been awarded the prestigious "Best SPAA Travel Agency"!
